improved matt pulled role shown stepping team third
He (Parker) has shown how much he's improved this year. And Matt Behrens is stepping up in his role as a contributor to this team as he pulled out a third place in the tournament.
against breaker creek fairly four ground held lost pulling score seven team teams tie wins
It was an eventful weekend, with our team pulling off four wins in seven duals (Two of them by tie breaker as the end score was tied). We lost heavily to the two powerhouse teams (Spring Creek and Lowry) but held our ground fairly well against everyone else.
both finish guaranteed kyle placed point proud quite since wrestler
Both Arturo and Kyle are guaranteed at least an 8th place finish at this point which is quite an accomplishment since we have never ever placed one wrestler at this tournament. I'd say that's something for us to be proud of.
built forget front glad gym home last likely memories victories
I was glad to see them get so many victories in front of their home crowd. They have built a lot of memories in that gym and will likely not forget the last ones.
believe few high opportunity qualify seeds wrestlers younger
I believe you will see a lot of high seeds out of our upper-classmen, with a few of our younger wrestlers sneaking into an opportunity to qualify for state.
finish fit half satisfied trying weight wrestlers wrestling
I was satisfied with our finish considering we're wrestling with only half our squad. We're still toying with our line-up and trying to find the right fit for our wrestlers and their weight classes.
best coached team
This was the best team I've ever coached here at Incline.
against career chris coming gold guy high history home johnson kyle medal overtime party school thriller took
This was a coming out party for these guys. Kyle Bradshaw took home his first gold medal in his high school career with an overtime thriller against Chris Johnson of Sparks, a guy he's had a long history with.
absence brief catching competition count despite early last leader pace rapidly senior silent team tournament tyler valuable wrestling
Despite being ousted from the tournament in his last match, he showed me that he is not going to be outdone by his senior counterparts. After a brief absence from competition in the early part of the season, he is rapidly catching pace with the team and wrestling impressively. Tyler is our silent leader and has always been someone we can count on to get valuable team points.
best challenge chance definitely home last night outing seniors step surprised team themes underlying
It was probably not the best outing to see our team at, as we definitely under-performed in many ways. I was very surprised to see that our team was not able to step up to the challenge considering all the underlying themes of the night - seniors last home dual, big crowd, last chance to sharpen before division....
compete due effort eventually gave kyle lack mistake opponent secret short showing small supply weapon
A small mistake gave the takedown to his opponent and eventually the win, but not due to lack of effort and short supply of guts. Kyle has always been a secret weapon for us, showing sporadically that he can compete with the best.
becoming carry defend kyle season seems spirit state stronger time toughness wears
Kyle is becoming stronger and stronger as the season wears on, and seems to be peaking at the right time to defend his state title. His toughness and spirit will carry him a long way in that quest.
along anyone few group kyle levels match motivated post state stepped tear tough zone
Kyle has been on a tear as of late, having stepped it up a few levels in preparation for the post season. He will be a tough match for anyone at the zone and state tournaments along with the others. We'll go in with a very motivated group and we should do well.
behind class control fighting fights-and-fighting injuries kyle match putting season seems state terms title watching weight
Kyle has been fighting injuries all season and seems to be putting all that behind him and just wrestling. Watching him completely control that match was encouraging as he has a wide-open weight class in terms of state title contention.
