coach difficult line losing miami needed obviously offensive priorities question recruit tried
I think there's no question offensive line is one of the big priorities Miami has wanted, needed and tried to address. Losing your (position) coach makes it difficult to recruit (at that position), but something obviously needed to be done.
bit difficult field good last signing year
Things were difficult on the field a little bit last year and that will keep them from signing a top-25 class, but they have a pretty good class.
college committed recruiting three
Those three are committed to LSU, but you know how recruiting goes.
charlie class dame florida might nebraska neither players quality second signed time urban worst year
When you look back, this might be the worst class he ever signed because he didn't have a lot of time to recruit. But if you think about what he did at Nebraska and the quality players he recruited, he should do well for Buffalo. Florida didn't do as well under Urban Meyer in his first year and neither did Notre Dame with Charlie Weis. It's usually that second class where you see results.
games hit looking offensive quality upgrade win
To win games in the Big Ten, you have to have quality offensive linemen. These linemen are an upgrade of what they've done in the past. From the returns, it's looking like they hit their target.
Everything he (Meyer) did was right this year.
asking capitalize everybody keeps national next texas until
Everybody keeps asking me how Texas is going to capitalize on their national championship. We probably won't see that until next year.
involved might rank recruiting
While they might not rank higher, they're recruiting on a different level. They were involved in more high-quality people.
emerged late moved reputation senior
(Wright's) reputation is stellar. He emerged late as a senior and moved up the charts.
best bobby closes couple last nobody staff strong
Nobody closes as strong as Bobby Bowden, especially the last couple of years. He's (Bowden) one of the best closers and his staff has really done well.
break college foundation guys neither quality running
Neither of those guys was going to make or break the class. Montgomery is going to be a quality college running back and there has to be some disappointment there, but those guys aren't the foundation of the class.
alone bob gave headaches les oklahoma regularly state top
Les was perennially in the Top 25 while at Oklahoma State, and he wasn't alone in the state like he is at LSU. He and Bob Stoops regularly gave one another headaches a lot of those years.
bob final hit home leave run signings
Leave to Bob Stoops to hit a home run on the final day of recruiting. Those two signings were huge.
brown close coach early foot gas quickly
I think Coach Brown said to his staff, let's put our foot on the gas early and let's close this deal. It was awe-striking to see how quickly they reeled in those commitments.
