best game major reason year
That was the major of the year so, this disappointment pales in comparison. We just didn't have our best game and there's no reason why we didn't have it.
cyclical hopefully type
We haven't had a lot of up-and-coming teams. I don't know why. Hopefully they're coming. They're not there yet. But hopefully this is one of those cyclical type things.
emotional feeling great lots tired trials trying win year
I don't think we were tired in any way or not feeling motivated. But it's been a long year and we've had lots of emotional times -- trying to win the trials and the times after that. We can't look back on this year and say we're disappointed. We had a great run.
blown hate lose mind
You hate to lose any game, but I don't mind getting blown out because it's a little easier. You're more relaxed, at least when you know the end should be near.
bigger came committee crowds fans forward looking maybe pleasantly surprised
The players, the committee and everyone was pleasantly surprised at how well it was received. The fans came out in droves, showed that Winnipeg is still a hotbed of curling and we're looking forward to maybe even bigger crowds this year. That would be awesome.
couple ends good last time
We had a good time for the last couple of ends and that's about it.
again atmosphere christmas fans front good groove juices loss mood obviously playing rocks throwing tough trying week
It's obviously tough to get back into the groove again after a tough loss and (Christmas) holidays. We've been throwing rocks for a week now, trying to get back into the mood for playing and, once we get out there in front of the fans and a good atmosphere here, it will get the juices going and we'll try to do our best.
forward game looking playoff win
We're looking forward to it and I know he is. It's not a playoff game or a final. It's another win to get you into that playoff spot. We want to win it for sure.
great guys knew
When I let it go, I knew it was light. I knew when I let it go, 'Oh boy, you guys are going to have to go on it to squeak it in there.' It was great brushing.
feeling game games hard playing time
You're only playing one game a day and it's hard to get things going. If you play two games in one day, you'd get a better feeling going. But here, there's just a lot of time off and a lot of down time.
appreciate fans few gave guys hand nice none
The fans are so good. They're so curling knowledgeable. They know what the guys are going through, what I'm going through and none of them cared. I went down to the other end and they gave us a nice little hand and a few cheers, saying, 'Let's go, let's go,' after it was all done and we appreciate all that.
glenn good hope played skip team wins won
I hope Glenn wins it. We're good buddies. They played well. He's never won it as a skip and the team has never won it.
happy putting winning
I'm putting the broom down better. It's still not perfect, but we're happy with the win. ... We're a long way from winning anything yet.
