performance supposed
What a performance. She did all the things she was supposed to do.
battling credit hit
We weren't going to give her a three, no way . . . . But she hit those others, and you have to give them credit for battling their way back into it.
game utah
We got outplayed tonight. Utah outplayed us in every part of the game. They wanted this game more.
although ball floor grateful needs oklahoma played spread wish
We're very grateful to be here, although I wish we had played better. But you have to give Oklahoma a lot of credit. They're well-coached and well-organized. They know how to spread the floor and get the ball where it needs to be.
both couple excited last successful talented team university
We're very excited to be in the tournament. We know every team there is very talented and has had successful seasons. We haven't been in for the last couple of years, so I think both the team and the university are very excited.
beat deserve free games hard missing momentum second teams tie watched
I've watched so many games where the teams tie the game up with a 3 and take momentum into overtime. If they were going to beat us, they were going to do it the hard way by making a free throw, missing the second and getting the rebound. If they do that, they deserve to get into overtime.
adds exciting exposure game players
The women's game is really changing, and it's really exciting to see it get the exposure that it really deserves. To see her dunk, to see players get so much more quicker, athletic, adds something to this game.
advantage coach easy focused huge likes offense outside shutting turned worry
Every coach likes turnovers because you can get easy baskets. That turned out to be a huge advantage for us tonight. On offense we didn't worry so much about the posts but focused more on shutting down the outside shots.
almost courtney giving good job paris rebounds season second shot third twin
Courtney Paris has almost a third of their team's rebounds this season and her twin sister, Ashley, has almost another third. We have to do a good job at not giving them second and third shot opportunities.
difficult fans far hard hopefully parents side trip
We feel like we play well here with the altitude. We hopefully will get fans here from our conference. It's not a real far trip for our fans. I've been on the other side when we've had to go way back out east, and financially it's hard to have parents and fans come. This is not a real difficult trip. We feel real comfortable here and hopefully we can play well.
coached grateful oklahoma played proud transition
We are very grateful to have come here and I am very proud of my team. Oklahoma played very good. They transition well and they are a really well coached team.
athletics good incredible player post stop tremendous
Marsh is a tremendous post player and an incredible athlete. We've got some really good post players, and we could not stop her.
calm direct effort extremely great played player pleased solid stay work
I was extremely pleased with Laura's effort and work tonight. She may not always get a lot of minutes, but she is a very solid player who is able to stay calm and direct the team. She played great tonight.
arena conference denver mountain past played playing three west
I think playing in Denver is an advantage. We've played there (in the Mountain West Conference tournament) the past three years. We're very comfortable in the arena and at the altitude.
