It starts always with the two best guys (Yao and McGrady) and their energy level. Tracy McGrady obviously was very efficient tonight and when he is efficient, we as a team have a better chance of being efficient.

It starts always with our two best guys and their energy level. McGrady obviously was very efficient tonight. Yao is a long way away from being in the type of shape he was in prior to his injury. But that he is in as good of shape as he is in is a direct result of his incredible dedication.

They did a good job on him, but they committed extra defenders on him. Obviously we're struggling right now with our perimeter shooting, and we didn't make them pay as much as we'd hoped to for their committing multiple defenders to McGrady. So we've got to do that a little bit better.

I didn't think Yao was particularly as good tonight as he has been. There's obviously a huge burden on his shoulders right now, but we're capable of making (shots) and we didn't tonight.

I know we haven't played well enough or near hard enough the last two games to play well enough to have a chance against two first-place teams, and obviously not well enough from a shooting standpoint. But every player and every team is going to go through the ability to make or miss. That's why you need to have other parts of your game that are consistent, individually and as a team.

When it gets tough right now, we're not the mentally strongest team, and that's at both ends. We just have to be able to weather some bad moments without caving in. We could have shown more resilience to hang around. That's what separates players in this league: mental strength. Mental strength is a huge component to how great you can be.

The starters did a good job to start the game. The bench, inexplicably, is bereft of energy and intensity, and we have all young guys who are trying to carve out a career. I don't get it.
