bats best bunch game hurt kids throw work
It's still a work in progress. Not having a preseason game hurt us. We've got a bunch of kids who can throw strikes. And I've got to get the best bats in the lineup somewhere.
ball defense help keeps lets low thrown
He pitched well. He hadn't thrown in a while, but he's been pretty consistent. He keeps the ball low and lets his defense help him.
good knew pitcher throw
A good pitcher will keep batters off-balance. We're a good fastball-hitting team, so (Thomas) knew to not throw fastballs at our lineup.
beat city help pull taylor union upset
It's going to take a lot of things going our way. If Crescent City or Pierson Taylor could pull an upset (of Keystone), that could help us (in the finals) ? if we beat Union County.
saw
They saw him at his worst. He's going to be around the plate.
ball catcher plays small supposed
They put the ball in play. Their catcher (Howell when he's not pitching) is supposed to be real good. They make the plays they're supposed to make. They play small ball very well.
advantage
You've got to take advantage of the other team's weaknesses.
last plate swing total turnaround
He's a total turnaround from (junior varsity) last year. He's around the plate and makes them swing the bat. That's all you can ask.
famine feast five good threw walks
He's been on the shelf, (but) he threw well. It was feast or famine ? 10 strikeouts and five walks ? but overall, he did a good job.
bothering good hunter
Hunter pitched well tonight. He's got to throw. I know his arm's been bothering him, but he's got to find a way. This is a good sign.
ball challenge forward looking pony ride wants
I know he's looking forward to the challenge again. He wants the ball and we'll ride that pony as long as we can.
ball hit paid pitches spots
They hit the ball well. We didn't hit spots with pitches and paid for it.
base caught hitter proud
Their No. 3 hitter hit one that would have been out of Yellowstone, but Evan caught it at the base of the wall. I'm very proud of our outfield.
