basically pick
With Tyler, you basically have to pick your poison.
sluggish
We just got off to a sluggish start.
felt game good
We felt this was a really important game to get off to a good start. But we'll regroup.
attacking ball brian great jackson played shooting
Brian Jackson played some great minutes. He was shooting the ball well, attacking well and distributing the ball well.
found good holes looks screens setting settled
We got good looks (against the box-and-one) and once we settled down and started setting better screens and making good cuts, we found the holes in the box.
cheer duplicate environment fans hostile loud team wish
It doesn't get more hostile than it was tonight. Their fans are loud and they cheer their team on. I only wish we could duplicate this environment at our place.
bench came coming depth difficult energy great guys half held johnson last minutes points six team third
Those guys came in off the bench and did a great job. In the last six and a half minutes of the third quarter, they held Johnson to six points and scored 18. That kind of depth and energy coming off the bench makes us a more difficult team to play against.
ball good high incredible passing school
Twenty-three assists is incredible for a high school team. We were getting such good looks, and that's because we were passing the ball so well.
college knows level player tonight tyler
Everyone knows that Tyler is a college level player offensively. But tonight he showed that he is defensively as well.
box cast coach goes good hit lee mark pull stuck supporting
It just goes to show you how good his (Smith's) supporting cast is. We hit enough three's that I thought it would pull them out of it (the box and one), but Placer coach Mark Lee read us well and stuck to it.
came half hit kids momentum second
They came out in the second half and one of their kids hit a 3 and you could feel the momentum change.
either physical respond
They were very physical and we didn't respond real well at either end of the floor.
atmosphere caught changes chaos chaotic floor good hard job kids lead playing slippery
It never ever changes (at Grant) ? it's a chaotic atmosphere up here. You never feel like a lead is safe, the floor is slippery and it's hard not to get caught up in the chaos. I thought the kids did a good job playing through it.
chance dream future kids people playing taste
It's a coach's dream to get all of the kids that much playing time. It was also a chance for people to get a taste of what the future will look like.
