dominated ice loss played playoffs team worst
That's the worst loss I've ever been a part of. We were dominated all over the ice in every area. We played like a team that is out of the playoffs and they played like a team that is comfortably in the playoffs.
extra kept lead letting past pushing rewarding sit sitting teams
That's something new. It was rewarding that once we got the lead we didn't sit back. We kept pushing forward. In the past we've been sitting back and letting teams get that extra goal.
good known level physical pushed team
It really showed that this team won't be intimidated and pushed around. It was good that we, being known as the smaller, speedier team, were able to keep up with their level of physical play.
against credit guys hard hottest huge league penalties penalty team
Our penalty kill has done an exceptional job. All the guys involved, forwards included, are working together. To kill off as many penalties as we did against the hottest team in the league right now is a huge credit to how hard the guys are working.
believing good matter record team
Our record is 44-19 for a good reason. We have a team in here that can play and can play with a record like that. It's a matter of believing in each other and going out and executing.
add carry leave minds
It was very much on our minds that we wanted to leave with momentum. What this does is just add to everyone's confidence. Hopefully, we can carry on.
deserved doors open played strong won
We didn't open any doors for them. I just think they got some bounces. I'm not going to say they won by chance. They played strong and deserved to win.
easy hits
Big hits like that don't come around too often. It's not easy or you'd see them every night.
came chills crowd game hard hearing ice locker loud relaxed room
I've been around the game long enough to be pretty relaxed in the locker room before the game. But, when I came out on the ice for the anthems, I got chills hearing how loud the crowd was. It was hard not to smile.
less unhappy
There's no excuses, we didn't play well. We're unhappy with anything less than two points.
loss worse
That's the worse loss I've ever been a part of.
came huge kept key main marty momentum number reason saves
Marty was excellent. He came up with a number of real key saves for us. That's just a huge momentum changer, and that kept us in the game. It's probably the main reason we came out with two points.
drop everybody hit league
I think everybody was. I think everybody around the league would like to drop a hit like that one.
figure grow happens learn maybe
Maybe it's a better thing that it happens now than in the playoffs, so we can learn and grow and figure out where we need to get better.
