Jay McKeeis a retired ice hockey defenceman. He last played for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League, and was previously with the Buffalo Sabres and the St. Louis Blues. Throughout his career he has been noted among the NHL's best shot-blockers. He later served as an assistant coach for the Rochester Americans. I've been around the game long enough to be pretty relaxed in the locker room before the game. But, when I came out on the ice for the anthems, I got chills hearing how loud the crowd was. It was hard not to smile.

That's the worst loss I've ever been a part of. We were dominated all over the ice in every area. We played like a team that is out of the playoffs and they played like a team that is comfortably in the playoffs.

Marty was excellent. He came up with a number of real key saves for us. That's just a huge momentum changer, and that kept us in the game. It's probably the main reason we came out with two points.

Maybe it's a better thing that it happens now than in the playoffs, so we can learn and grow and figure out where we need to get better.

I enjoy now more than ever turning on the TV at night and watching the other games. It's a much more exciting game. I certainly wish the calls wouldn't be so strict with the physical play, but we have made the adjustment.

Obviously, there's nothing that compares to the '99 Cup run. Nothing will ever compare to that unless you win it all.

To do it in Southern California would be much more costly. You definitely get more for your money in Phoenix.

We wanted to get on them early but they got the first goal and that certainly wasn't our game plan but we were able to battle through and pull it off.
