satisfied tournament win
I never have been satisfied at any time, other than when you win a tournament that week, then you pretty much did what you wanted to accomplish.
best confidence events few next past played time win won
I've always said the best time to win is when you've just won, ... You have that confidence going for you. In the past on the PGA Tour, when I've won tournaments, in the next few events I've always played very well.
mine win
That made me feel like it was still my tournament. Like it was mine to win or lose.
clutch driver drives felt help hit last seemed switched week win
I switched to a new driver last week and that really seemed to help me. I really felt comfortable and hit some clutch drives down the stretch. I made a lot of putts too and you have to do that to win out here.
blowing british davis green hal hard hit hitting hole impressed left love open playing practice round walking wind
I was playing a practice round with Davis Love at the British Open and Hal comes walking out to the 17th hole, the wind was blowing hard left to right, ... I hit a 4-iron to the green and Davis hit it on. When we got to the green, Davis said, 'You think Hal was impressed with that?' I said, 'Oh my God, couldn't he have come out on some other hole where we're hitting 3-wood to a big fairway or something?' We laughed.
character course cushion figured hard hope last par played wind year
The course at Savannah is more wide-open, but it has a lot of character to it. Last year it played so hard because of the wind on the weekend. And the 18th hole, I still haven't figured out how to make a par on that hole, so if I'm doing well, I hope I have a little cushion on that last day.
asleep fell forgot green line love miss putt second size texas
I kind of fell asleep on the second shot. The green is about the size of Texas and I still managed to miss it. Then, I fell in love with the line on my putt (from 8 feet), but forgot about the speed.
best confidence continue time won
The best time to continue to play well is when you've just won a tournament. Your confidence is at an all-time high. Things are going your way. That's my attitude, get it while the getting is good.
battle cut miss pulling shoot son tiger time watch
That (his son being on the tour) is kind of pulling me in that direction, but at the same time I watch Tiger shoot 20 under at Doral and the cut was 4 under and I think I don't miss being in that battle out there.
champions playing tour
Not playing well on the Champions Tour was disappointing to me.
compete excited game less percent
I'm not real excited about my game right now. I can't be less than 100 percent for me to compete out here.
ahead birdie calm looking number thinking
I had to calm down after the birdie at number 17 because I was looking ahead and thinking birdie at number 18,
I've had more hole-in-ones. You don't see them. Very rare.
champions guys last leg maybe none tour
None of the other guys played. The Champions Tour was off last week, so maybe we had a leg up there, just being in competition.
