cannot easy expansion fact leader maybe member responsibility stand team
Maybe some of it is the fact we're an expansion team, and I cannot stand the fact that's such an easy excuse, ... I'm a member of this team, I'm the leader of this team, and I take responsibility for how the team plays.
arm band focus hard individual maturing maybe separate stage strange sure wear
The strange thing is, at this stage of my career, it's so hard for me to separate individual from team, ... So much of my focus is on the team. Maybe it's because I wear the (captain's) arm band every week. Maybe it's because I'm maturing as a person. I'm not really sure what it is.
knee looking stop talking
I would like to stop talking about my knee now. It's over and done with for me in my mind; I'm looking forward, not looking back.

While I am extremely disappointed to not be available to my Real Salt Lake teammates as we push for the fourth and final Western Conference playoff spot, I fully expect to come back for the 2006 MLS season quicker and stronger than ever. I expect to meet with U.S. Soccer's top surgeon, Dr. Bert Mandelbaum, the week of September 26 to determine my medical course of action.

anytime award best captain category effort honor lead leading next point reminder represents season team year
The award represents an honor for me in the effort that I have put in during the off season for the 2005 season, ... This also represents a reminder to me that I need to get back to that point next year as I go through this rehabilitation process. Anytime that you're the captain you have to lead and the best way to that is to lead by example. Leading the team a statistical category will do that.
found loose
They were pretty loose on me. I found myself with a lot of space, which is pretty rare.
emotion head months six worth wrapped

defenders eight goals guys hopeful key last league proven score scoring worry
As a forward, you're always hopeful that the other guys are scoring goals as well so that the defenders and defenses don't have to key in on just one player. Obviously, Jeff's a guy who can score goals in this league and he's proven it over the last eight years or so. It will give defenses another thing to worry about.
extremely life moment proud
It is probably the most bittersweet moment in my life to be honest. I am proud of this one, but I am extremely disappointed in our result.
