drive few late lucky might reason runs seeing
I think a lot of it might have to do with teams, this late in the season, (that) are out of it, and I'm probably seeing more pitches. It might be a combination of a few things, but I still have to drive those runs in. For one reason or another, I've been getting lucky and getting more opportunities.
losing middle nice olympics season
He said it makes up for losing in the Olympics. He said he wanted to say congratulations and to tell the guys, ?Way to go.' It was nice of him to take that time, in the middle of the season and right after Olympics -- he had a lot going on. It was a nice gesture.
batting love squeeze sure
He said, ?I'd love to take batting practice,' and I said, ?I'm sure we can squeeze you in. I don't think it's going to be a problem.
faced roger sharp
Roger wasn't as sharp as the other times we've faced him,
wants win
He wants to win now. He made that pretty clear.
flattering worked
There are still a lot of things that need to be worked out, ... but it's flattering to have that offer.
feeling hard hope nice notice realized reciprocal
I realized something like this could happen, so you go out there, play hard and hope someone notices. It's nice to get that reciprocal feeling that they notice what you're doing.
bit games knowing last losing position press win
Being in all of those games and being in a position to win some of them, it's just frustrating being on the losing end of most of them. It's a little more frustrating knowing that you are probably a little bit better than you were last year. You should be doing better, but you're not. I think it makes everyone kind of press to do a little more than they probably should. I think that's compounding the problem.
bit early game hoping kinds knew picks sails sucked sure took type wind
Being down that early kind of took the wind out of our sails and I'm sure everyone was a little bit tired, a little bit sore. Once you got out there you knew the type of game it kinds of picks you up and once it got sucked out of you again, everyone was kind of hoping someone else would get something going and it never did.
defense game good hitting year
It's really the first game all year where we had our pitching, our hitting and our defense all working at the same time. That's a good sign.
against anytime finish guy means
Anytime you're going up against a guy like that you know you're not going to get much to hit, ... To get that, and to finish strong, means the world to me.
pitching runs score starting
In years past, (talk) was more that we had to score more runs for our starting pitching. Now, it's more that we're going score some runs, can the starting pitching keep us in games?
nature neat nice people players quick step sudden team tournament win
The neat thing about this tournament is the nature of it, and how quick it is. A nice win here, you step it up in one game, and all of a sudden people take note, not just of the team but the players on it.
baseball last start thinking
If you're 16-1, the last thing you want is a day off. But when you don't start off well, sometimes having a day off relaxes you. Not thinking about baseball for a day helps.
