We have to take a step back a little bit because we thought we were a lot better than we really are. The past two games have shown us that we're not there yet. It's OK as long as you learn from it.
When I play games I don't really care. Everyone is replaceable. I just tried to help the team.
Of course it's nice to be in first, but there's 30 games to go. To be honest with you, I'm not upset.
We've got two games to go. We know what we have to do. We've had such a good year. We just don't want to give it away.
We need to get it right or it's going to be even harder to win hockey games later on. If you want to be good in this league and compete for the playoffs, you need to be good on home ice. We weren't able to do it the last two games.
We've had such a great year and we don't want to give it away. Why? It just happened. We're not happy with the way we played. We have to play better in the playoffs and we have two games to go to get us there.
We had a chance the last four games against easier opponents than Ottawa. It's not a playoff, but it's almost like a playoff game.
It was a playoff game. If we're going to play each other in the playoffs, the games are going to look a lot like that.
It's not a good situation that we are in. Everybody knows how important these next four games are at home. It might be our season. That's the way I look at it. I thought we started playing better in the last two games. It's just that the results are not there.
We played against very good teams, playoff teams for sure, maybe candidates to win the Stanley Cup. They're already playing playoff hockey and I don't think we're playing it yet. The two games teach us we are not there yet. We have to play smarter.
You can't look at the big picture. By losing three straight you can't say, 'Let's win four.' We didn't play good the last 10 games of the season. We're just lucky we had enough points to make (the playoffs).
He's been the best goalie in the league for such a long time, for the last 10 years maybe. Plus, he looks like he even gets better as the games get tougher. We have to shoot the puck and hope for the best, hope that he's going to have a bad game. We just have to hope.
I'm not thinking about it at all. Maybe because I'm older, I look at it differently than if I were younger. I don't think worrying too much about it before is going to help you. I don't even think I'll think about it when the Games start. It's when the important Games start.
In order to win games, your top line has to score. Some nights, it works for us, and tonight was one of those nights.
