afternoon amount clutch experience gaining huge meant mileage morning problem reasonable work
We are still getting through mileage and gaining experience on the car. The clutch sensor problem this morning meant that we could not get through a huge amount of work but the afternoon was better, making this a reasonable day for us.
advantage although cannot car feels hopefully mileage optimistic prepared problems race ready solve sure terms tried work
Hopefully this will give us an advantage for this year. We cannot say we will be the best, but for sure we will be very well prepared with the new car in terms of mileage and experience. We've tried to solve all the problems and get ready for the first race. Now we're doing very well, and it feels good, although there's still a lot of work to be done in the run-up to the first race and beyond. I am optimistic and confident.
colossal decision stop
The team's decision to put on slicks at the first stop was a colossal absurdity,
came held lap slow
(Michael) was on a slow lap and didn't let me by. He just came out of the pits and held me up all the way around his lap, which I don't think was fair.
capable coming driver drivers fact great mean michael past strong
Michael has been a strong driver in the past and he is still a strong driver and he is still capable of doing great things. The fact that the young drivers are coming up does not mean anything.
initially pushing quality sell wines
We can sell initially because of my image. But, if the wines aren't good, we won't sell any more. We've got to keep pushing quality to the limit.
ahead pushing
But we still have one place ahead of us, so we must keep pushing with that as the target.
add car finish priority
My first priority will be to get the car to the finish and add to my championship total,
hope season win
This season we hope to win our first race.
against bahrain choice cold course ensure good mainly package short stand step sure warmer week worked
This week we mainly worked on the tyre choice for Bahrain . We worked on long and short runs, but the temperature has been too cold for us. I am sure that a warmer temperature will ensure that we are more competitive. The new aerodynamic package has been a good step forward. All in all we have done a lot work, but of course we will find out in Bahrain how we stand up against the other teams.
car conditions delays difficult feeling gain hope laps morning package testing tomorrow track
We had a difficult morning with the track conditions and then we had some delays with my car. The day was very promising, especially with the new car and in general, the testing we got through was good. Tomorrow I hope to put in even more laps to gain a feeling for the new package and to be able to make a better judgement.
bad best circuit expecting forecast fun hoping hugely impact intensity last likely pole positive rain testing took tough vary weather weekend wet year
We were expecting this to be a wet weekend, and the weather forecast is still bad so it's likely to be a tough weekend because we haven't done much wet testing this year. Spa is the best circuit in the world, and the most fun to drive, but the intensity of the rain can vary hugely so that can have a big impact on circuit conditions. Still, it will be the same for everyone. Last year I took pole in the wet here so we'll be hoping for a positive result.
start
Then we will start to find out where we really stand.
avoiding barely bit came car choice field following front gamble hit late losing maintain pace pit safety stopped turned worked
It was a bit of a gamble and as it turned out it was not the right choice. When I came out I was barely able to maintain the pace of the safety car and we went to the back after we stopped again. I worked my way back up through the field but late on I was following Monteiro when he accidently hit the pit limiter button. I had no way of avoiding him and I hit him, losing my front wing and going off into the wall.
