execution finished fourth game good happy load relaxed win
I think it's a big load (off). We're not happy with the way we finished the game but a win is a win. I don't think we relaxed (in the fourth quarter) because everyone wanted to win this game really bad. I just think our execution wasn't as good as it was in the first half.
credit execute fight fourth lead quarter
We had a lead and we didn't execute when we had to. You have to give them credit. They had the fight in them in the fourth quarter that we need and they were able to win.
consistency control destiny game games good last turned
We control our own destiny and we've got to be a lot more consistent. Every game is so important and I don't know how we can get this thing turned around. We show spurts and we have good games but the consistency has to be there, especially in these last 17 games.
portland speaks talent
Portland has a lot of talent on their team. Their talent speaks more than their record.
confident game good next playoff series watch
We're confident in our game plan; we're confident in our personnel. The good thing about having a playoff series is you get to go watch film and see what adjustments have to be made for the next game.
That's been our story all year. We've been up and down, we haven't been consistent.
andrew determined difference free hit inside stretch throws win
I was able to hit some free throws down the stretch and our inside play was good. Andrew was the difference tonight. We really were determined to win tonight.
attention basketball built easy opponents pressure reason rebounds score team thus traded
I think the whole reason why they traded for me was to become a playoff-contending team and to take a lot of pressure off the rookie. I've done so thus far. There's been a lot of attention that our opponents have put on me, and he's been able to get rebounds that way and score easy baskets. That's built his confidence.
david happy played proven shots west
I thought David West played really well. He's proven himself, making shots all year. I'm happy for him.
He was very impressive. He made shots, got everyone involved.
came hope learned player respect
He's a young player in this league, and he has to respect the ones that come before him, just like I respect the ones that came before me. I hope he learned that tonight.
games good stick string together win
We put a good string of games together and win some then we don't stick to it. We've been going up and down all season.
adjustment defense grasp period players
We just didn't play defense. The young players still don't grasp what it is like to play consistently. It's going to be an adjustment period before we get it together, but I think we're going to be OK.
closing executing found games loose points scoring trouble
We've been having trouble closing out the games. Getting loose balls, executing on offense, scoring points . . . but we found a way to win.
