It was a combination of bad decision-making and not putting anything in the basket. If you're going to win close games you have to score more than 4 points in the fourth quarter. The bottom line is we didn't score enough points.

We knew the first quarter was going to be important. We needed to get a feel (and) we just didn't adjust well to their athleticism. We got ourselves in a big hole and it's tough to climb out of a hole against a team like (Champaign).

I told the guys we only have one choice - to rebound back in a good way. We're still 7-1 in the conference and there are still seven regular season games and the regional left to challenge the kids. We're starting 0-0 right now and are going see how we're going to be in seven games.

It's great. These seniors have bought in to what I've brought since day one and this just validates their effort and how hard they've worked to get here. It puts a stamp on the program.

It's a great credit to the kids. I don't think anybody realistically expected us to win 20 games this season. It's a great testimony to how hard the kids have worked this year, and played together and to our senior leadership.

We guarded them a little harder in the second half. They made some bad passes and took some tough shots and that's where we were able to get some separation.

We knew we were the underdogs. They're awfully good and we came out tentative.

That's huge. We called a timeout, set up a play and we're able to get three points off that when we were looking for an easy basket.

I thought those guys came in and did a great job moving on offense. It didn't signal that we were packing it in. I was just showing them (the starters) how I wanted movement. I let them sit down and watch and see how those guys were moving.

I thought on defense we were flat out getting beat one on one and in the zone. Offensively we were very stagnant. When someone had the ball the rest were just standing and watching. It wasn't just one guy it was a team effort, so to speak, tonight.

Our kids didn't give up. I'm so proud of our seniors, they did a great job.
