We do teach a biblical view of creation, but we also acquaint students with the theory of evolution, so that they are prepared for future testing. We don't believe that evolution has been proven. We have students read scholarly work that raises questions.

I tell my story not so much to lecture or teach, but rather to open the door for students to be honest with themselves and others. When I was growing up, I had a false idea of what an alcoholic was, and I did not believe I fit the description.
