Right now it's up to us to maintain our level of play and stay in first place. Winning these two games this week gives us a lot more confidence because these are teams that people outside our program don't expect us to beat.

People were expecting a lot of things from this team, and they don't realize, before we got here, they were winning 11 games and facing NCAA sanctions. They wanted national championship success right away, and we knew it wasn't going to be like that. It was going to be a long grind and process. We've done that really well, to the point where we expect to win.

We've been here before. We've had winning streaks, we've had losing streaks, and we've had blowout wins and blowout losses, so we've run the gauntlet of emotions. With this team I don't think it will be a problem for us responding to the way we played Saturday.

It was the tale of two halves. We couldn't get anything going in the first half, but the defense played well and in the second half, we were able to move the ball down the field, but we couldn't find a way to stop them.

It was tough to practice the day after we found out that we didn't make it the NCAA Tournament. But as we practiced and practiced, though, guys' spirits got up and we were just happy to be able to wear this jersey again and to be able to compete.
