J. Hoover
John Edgar Hooverwas the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigationof the United States. He was appointed as the sixth director of the Bureau of Investigation—predecessor to the FBI—in 1924 and was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935, where he remained director until his death in 1972, aged 77. Hoover is credited with building the FBI into a larger crime-fighting agency than it was at its inception, and with instituting a number of modernizations to police technology, such...
backs blessed coming dive good guys knock lose seem teams wide
We have some young guys coming up for us, ... That's one thing we never seem to lose at Walton. Some teams have good quarterbacks or wide receivers. We've been blessed with good dive backs and good-sized fullbacks. I don't know where they keep coming from, but I'm not going to knock it.
guys might mistakes scared throw
I think he will. He usually bounces back pretty good. The thing I like about him is when he does make that mistake, he's not scared to go out and make that throw again. He can usually make that throw. Other guys might be timid, but he is not.
ball carry content field focused guys lose mentally stay staying strong tough
We've got to stay strong mentally. If your guys don't see a ball all game, it is tough to stay focused. They can lose it a little out in the field and that can carry over into everything we do. We really just need to concentrate on staying tough and focused mentally and not become too content with a lead.
character found guys last looks step
We found out a lot about our character last year. We found out we had guys who could step in for guys who got injured. It looks like it's going to play out like that again.
break feed football gets guy offense
When you see a guy break as many tackles as he does, it gets the whole offense going, and we all feed on that.
eight guy hooked hunting
About eight years ago, we got hooked up with a guy who wanted to come out and do hunting videos.
bad behind best die game good guy key matter pass passes pressure rally win
That one pass is magnified because of when it happened, but he made some key passes all game long, ... He's in a pressure situation. He's the guy who has to make those decisions. Sometimes he makes them, sometimes he doesn't. We want him to make more good ones than bad ones, because he's the guy we're going to live or die with. No matter what he does, we're going to rally behind him and do our best to win ballgames.
bad far good guy happen last maybe might overthrow people plays
You don't want him to have an off week, but we know occasionally they are going to happen like that. It's not that he's too far off, but maybe little things where he might overthrow a guy or the interception last week. But he made some good plays too, and it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
davis designed great guys hooking majority matter move offense open spread steve whenever whether
Steve's making the majority of the catches, but our offense isn't designed just to get him the ball, ... He's just getting open and making some great plays, and Jake is hooking up with him. Naturally, we'd like to spread it out a little more and get other guys (into the end zone), but whenever we can move the ball, it doesn't matter to us how we move it. Whether it's getting Steve catches or Stephen Davis a lot of carries, as long as we're efficient, it really doesn't matter.
average five four guys hopefully move offense pick played program replace three
Some of those guys played two or three years, ... We average about four or five guys on offense back a year. You have to pick it up and move on. Hopefully our program can replace them.
good guys inside noticed outside realizing shots starting
In practice, I've noticed that guys are starting to take shots and make shots. It's good to see guys realizing that without Scotty's outside shooting, we need to get more inside shots.
ball close ends happy man offensive per pounds tight
We're very happy with our offensive line, ... It's very big. Even with the two tight ends in, we're close to 250 pounds per man and they come off the ball well.
head turned
I've never turned around and not been able to see a person's head before. When I was guarding Hawes, all I could see was his stomach.
benefits bought court faithful fight paid service stand
These benefits were bought and paid for by retirees during their years of faithful service at Continental. We will not stand for this and will fight it, in court if necessary.
