rest week
He's not going to play this week and may not play the rest of the year.
freshmen
We have 43 freshmen out there. A lot of those will have to play,
biggest certainly
We certainly need him in there. He's our biggest and most experienced back.
defense offense played
The defense played much better than they had all year, and the offense played worse.
bigger building comparable concern places playing somewhere
When you are playing this building game, you don't concern yourself with the ones you don't get. You concern yourself with the ones you want. There were some that went somewhere that were comparable to us, but some that went to places bigger than us.
average per stretch yards
We have to do much better than that. We need to average 3.5 to 4 yards per carry. If we can't do that it will be a long stretch for us. But I think we can.
stretch
We have to do much better than that. If we don't it will be a long stretch for us.
bleak came eight goodness looked minutes resilient thank win
This win came at a very opportunistic time. It looked very bleak for us in the first eight minutes of the game, but thank goodness we have some resilient players.
bringing building concerned early game homework kids life playing sure
We have done our homework and the kids that we are bringing in are the kids that we want. Early in life when you are playing this building game you aren't concerned about the ones you don't get. You have to make sure the ones that you get are the ones that you want.
difference flaws major offense overcome
We weren't able to overcome the two major flaws in the offense -- the two interceptions that made the difference in the game.
ready team
Only two-thirds of the team is ready right now.
controlled emotions
My emotions are going to be controlled by the game, ... I don't think I'm going to be nostalgic.
harder willing work
There are two kinds. The ones that have no clue, and those that are willing to work harder than scholarship athletes, and those are the ones that become very important to the team.
against certainly chose experience football gain games given good group guys last match played segment teams three
We have played three very good football teams in the first segment of our schedule. We chose those games to gain the experience we need so desperately. Hopefully, this has given us enough experience to match up with Louisiana-Monroe. They are certainly a group of competitive guys and they played a very good game against us last year.
