Everybody loves tax cuts. Can't we get beyond the cynical pandering of politicians in both parties that promise people everything but don't stand up for the long term interests of the United States of America,
They are a mistake. The middle class never got a tax cut for us to defend,
Sixty percent of us got $304. Has your property taxes gone up more than $304 because the president cut cops on the beat, refused to fund special education, refused to fund ""no child left behind?
There was no middle-class tax cut, ... I don't know which is worse -- that he wants to repeal the tax cuts, or that he won't admit that they ever existed.
I'll stand up for what I believe in whether it's popular or not, and I think that is lacking in this country. What you're seeing now, not only on the part of President Bush but on the part of the Democrats as well, is they'll promise you a tax cut and health insurance and lower college tuition and fully funded special education. Look, you can't do that. You couldn't do that in your house. You can't spend money on stuff you don't have.

My view is if you've lived here for a significant period of time -- whether you're undocumented or documented -- and you have contributed to your community, you have never been arrested or gone to jail or any of that stuff, and you've paid your taxes and worked hard, that you ought to have a path to earn legalization of citizenship and so forth.
I think cutting the payroll tax is not a bad idea. We will not touch Social Security.
In December, when we were just getting pounded by every other candidate, I asked Terry to step in because I thought it was getting kind of destructive, ... Terry decided to be neutral, so I suggest he still remain neutral.
I'm running for president because the only way to beat George Bush is to stand up to him.
Each of their surprise disclosures has contained additional reasons for concern about whether Roberts would use his lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court to be an activist for an ideological agenda or an advocate for Americans' personal freedom.
I want to take this party back, so that we're proud of who we are again. I want to take this country back because we've moved too far to the right. And I want to take the White House back.
I'm not going to play the game anymore.
I've gotten to know John Kerry since the primaries. The reason I'm going out and working my you know what off for John Kerry is because I believe him. I believe he'll be a good president and a much better president than George Bush.
