No team ever won all three games on the road and won the Super Bowl. Why not try to make history?
It was a great run. But it's all about where we are at the end of the season, not how many games we've won in a row. Today, they were the better team. It's disappointing, but we just didn't play well today.
Nobody believed in us, but we believed in ourselves, and now we're in the Super Bowl. These last three games on the road show a lot about our team and this coaching staff.
We didn't want to go through this by choice. That is how it went. Last year, we were a No. 1 seed. This year, we had to win our final four games just to get here. So we've been on a playoff mentality the last four weeks of the regular season. It's win or go home, so we've gotten used to playing with pressure.
This is one of those games you circle on your calendar. You're not going to put all of your chips in one game. But when anyone plays the Patriots, you're going to play your best. You're going to have to play your best.
Everybody was ready to put Denver and Indianapolis in the championship game. We're the same team that went 15-1 last year and made it to the championship game. It would truly be a fairy tale story, to go on road, beat Cincinnati and come in and beat Indianapolis, then to get Jerome back to where it all started for him in Detroit. Somebody needs to write a book about that. It would make a lot of money.
