I have always thought it would be a blessing if each person could be blind and deaf for a few days during his early adult life. Darkness would make him appreciate sight; silence would teach him the joys of sound.
Once I knew only darkness and stillness...my life was without past or future...but a little word from the fingers of another fell into my hand that clutched at emptiness, and my heart leaped to the rapture of living.
I can see in what you call the dark, but which to me is golden.

I can see, and that is why I can be happy, in what you call the dark, but which to me is golden. I can see a God-made world, not a manmade world.
There is no better way to thank God for your sight than by giving a helping hand to someone in the dark.
I, who have never heard a sound, tell you there is no silence, and I, who have never seen a ray of light, tell you there is no darkness.
The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse.
The heart of a friend gives out sufficient light for us in the dark to rise by.
Once I knew the depth where no hope was and darkness lay on the face of all things. Then love came and set my soul free.
There is beauty in everything, even in silence and darkness.
It is better to be happy for a moment and be burned up with beauty than to live a long time and be bored all the while.
