asked brown call coach hear players time
Coach Brown asked us to call all of our players and let them know so they didn't hear it on TV. I told Colt to get ready, it was time to go.
answers days guys johnny labs lights players shave three truth turn win
They go in their labs and they turn the lights off and they don't shave for two or three days and they come out and feel like they've got the answers to the world. The truth is the players are the guys that win the games. It's much more Johnny and Joes than X's and O's.
came doubles extremely girls match played players pleasing short singles solid tough week
We had a tough match with Napa and the girls came back on short notice. The singles players played extremely well, doubles were solid as ever. This was a very pleasing week for us. We didnt feel we'd be 2-1 at the end of this week.
coach discuss player responds
You coach every player differently. With Vince, we discuss things a lot. That's the way he responds best.

I'm not sure he's always had his swerve on.

I'm very humbled to be the recipient of this award.
again coach enjoy fun gene head opportunity presented presents situation unique work
I've had an opportunity to be a head coach one time, and I would like to do that again if the right situation presented itself, but I really enjoy what I do. What I do, and what Gene does, is really more fun than being a head coach. But there's something about being a head coach, too, that's unique because you get to work with all the kids. If it presents itself, it would be wonderful.
best coming glow happen lose support talk texas university worst
It's (Young's) decision. The worst thing that could happen to the University of Texas is for us to talk him into coming back and he didn't want to come back. He would lose that glow that you see. We want him to do what's best for him and his family. We'll support him.
answer front legitimate
That's a legitimate question, ... but the answer is no. We were being up front with the players.
aggressive drew felt week
This week we felt like we could get aggressive and go after them. That's the way we drew it up, and we executed well.
came house kansas tough
This was a very tough match. Give Kansas the credit. They came into our house and outplayed us.
birds early three
We're the three early birds on the staff.
given
To not have given up a touchdown in the first quarter, that's pretty impressive.
accustomed best couple standard ups
There's going to be some ups and downs. ... A couple of times they didn't play to the standard that they're accustomed to, and I think we'll see the very best of it.
