came control expecting papers pressure test verbal
We came out here expecting a lot of verbal in the papers and things being said. If anything they have been under more pressure than us going into this test match. We have just got on with what we have been doing. We have been very focussed on the things we have been able to control which is our preparation.
pressure test
If anything, they (Australia) have been under more pressure than us going into this test match.
australia credit cricket days nine test took win
What's disappointing is that we had opportunities to win the game. But their batsmen made the most of their opportunities and credit to them. It took nine days of Test cricket for someone to really win a day. And that was yesterday, which Australia won.
beat believed cases coming drive guys home number pressure series test
Coming out of the Test series, a lot of the guys who were here believed going back home we could beat them. We didn't take our chances. We had them under pressure on a number of cases in the Test series and just didn't drive it home.
decision felt fitness last passed test
He's come through really well in the last two days. He's felt nothing, he's passed his fitness test and we'll make a decision tonight.
foot increase injury left series team test time watching
His foot flares up from time to time, and with the Test series just around the corner, we don't want to do anything to make his injury worse. His workload will increase in the Tests, so we are watching him carefully. He may be left out of the team for tomorrow's match.
australia compares cricket greatest match matches repeat struggle test tied west
Incredible. We'd struggle to repeat a match like that. I think it compares with the tied Test between Australia and the West Indies at Adelaide as one of the greatest matches in cricket history.
boys coming few good might news
We might have to have a few more boys coming over and the news isn't too good with Jacques.
ability bat bowlers credit fast showing
We had the ability to bat all day, but credit to Chaminda (Vaas) for showing some of our fast bowlers how to come and do it on these kind of pitches,
doubt seriously
I seriously doubt we will go in with two spinners.
exploit great
It would be great if we could exploit that.
It would pretty much look like he's going home.
batting came cricket drawing minds moving needs negative option positive team teams
The whole team wanted to be positive and wanted to go for a win. Cricket needs positive games. It doesn't need teams batting out and drawing games. For us, as a team moving forward, we're young and we need to be positive. To set a declaration and to try to go for a win was in our minds the only way to play. The negative option never came in.
country excited playing quite unknown
The wicket will probably be quite dry. He's an unknown talent. He's young, he's exuberant, he's really excited about playing for his country and that's good.
