came easily felt games glad help home losses road team tonight tough win won
Things just felt right tonight. I'm not going to have one of these games every night, but I was glad that I was able to have one tonight that was able to help my team win. We came off some tough losses on the road where we could have easily won and to come home and get a win was big for us.
close controlled example fighting game opening prime slip struggling tonight
Opportunities can slip away. Tonight was a prime example where we controlled this game from the opening tip. It shouldn't have even come down to where it is so close that we're struggling and fighting for every possession.
count despite excellent finishing wins
Considering what we did, finishing with 26 wins and a four-game win streak, despite the injuries, we can count this as an excellent season.
calls fought game gave guys hard key last maybe played stepped
This one really hurts. We played as hard as we could and we gave it all we could. There were just some key possessions and some calls and things that didn't go our way. Guys stepped in and did what they could do. We fought the game all the way down to maybe the last minute-and-a-half and things just got out of hand.
couple game somewhere watch
I am (jealous). Because I know he's somewhere about to watch the game tonight, probably got a couple of cocktails.
competition
I don't feel any pressure. I'll take on all the competition. I'm ready.
battle games record
I don't even know what their record is. I don't know what our record is. I just come out and play games every night. It's a battle for first place in every game we play.
close finish games goals hold injuries job kept last leads onto reaching shows
Last year, we had a lot of close games and couldn't hold onto leads and didn't know how to finish games. We've done a better job of that this year. Which shows improvement. Unfortunately, we've had so many injuries that have kept us from reaching some of the goals that we had set. Like making the playoffs.
home houston job orleans visit
I'm a survivor, ... I'm going to find a home and job here and make it. I may go back and visit New Orleans someday. But Houston is my home now.
great losing season top
This was a great season for us, losing a lot of our top players, and we were still able to win.
heart horrible lousy second tonight turned
Tonight just showed the heart of this team. We were lousy and horrible in the first half, but we turned it around in the second half.
elite expect game mean minutes problem teams understanding win
We have a problem understanding that just because we are up 12 or 15 with 3 minutes to go, that doesn't mean the game is over. We just can't do this if we expect to win and be one of the elite teams in the league.
everybody goes guys hurt step stepping
We know guys are banged up and hurt, and then Brevin goes down. When that happens, other guys have to step up and make a play. Right now everybody is stepping up to the challenge.
aggressive defense easy forcing passing played pushing result stuff
We started off pushing the ball. Got a lot of easy shots, got in the passing lane, played aggressive defense and as a result of that, we were getting a lot of easy stuff and forcing them to do things that they didn't want to do.
