I like making movies. I like the process. I like trying out new ideas, and if they don't work, they don't work. That's the reason I generated the money in the first place, to be able to try things. That's where I spend my money.
There's nothing worse than the frustration of having somebody who you feel doesn't get what you're doing, trying to turn it into something else. I got the licensing rights because I figured they wouldn't promote the film and if I got posters and T-shirts and things out there with the name of the film on them it would help promote the movie. So, you know, the whole idea that licensing was a revenue stream didn't really occur to anybody, including me.
