Now as it gets into the mid to late 60's we found different outtakes or maybe a version of something that had some vocals that were different to the vocals that ended up on the master, so what we have done is present the alternate version. And we have tried to create a lot of the most famous songs but totally different versions of them.
I hope somebody does this to all my crap demos when I'm dead, making them into hit songs.
So it's the unwinding of your nervous system. The corresponding experience to what winds you up comes out in your dreams. To write a song then, even one like Don't Bother Me, helps to get rid of some subconscious burden. Writing a song is like going to confession.
Although I have guitars all around and I pick themm up occasionally and write a tune and make a record, I don't really see myself as a musician. It may seem a funny thing to say.
