accept break instead known prepared rather tonight wins
We've known it was coming, and we've prepared for that. You accept that. But obviously, you'd rather go into a break with wins instead of losses. So getting a win like we did tonight was really big.
It all can be fixed. Now we just have to go out and do it.
behind hit nice
I fanned on the shot, but got it up there. It hit the defenseman and went behind him somehow. It's nice when we get the bounces.
ahead coming days eight front games obviously seven whether
I don't think of it as eight games in 11 days or same thing with seven games in 11 days coming up; the only thing to do is look ahead at the game in front of you, whether it's one day or two days or no days, there's really nothing else that I think of. Obviously it's a lot of hockey, but this is what we want to do. It's fun.
everybody fun huge keeping knows playing stepped sticks talking tremendous
Obviously, our goalies are playing tremendous for us. They're a huge part of keeping us in the game. Our game, we've stepped it up a notch. We've been talking a lot about what to do and everybody knows what to do and when everybody sticks to the system, it's fun to play.
dave everybody game looking miss move sad thinking
It's part of the game. It's something that happens. Everybody is thinking about Dave the person, that's who we're looking after. It's sad to see, but it's part of the game and it's management's decision. We can't do anything about it other than move on. Obviously, we're going to miss having him around.
bit blade caught goes missed
It just goes off my stick. The better thing would have been if I missed the whole thing, but it caught a little bit of my blade and went right to him.
deep good great high hold onto puck
It's great to come out with a good start. We had a real high energy. We got the puck in deep and managed to hold onto the puck in their end. That's how we've got to play.
battling confident game gone harder looking playing saying win year
It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.
good points
It's a big win. Points are important, and it was good to get two tonight.
bit details small
It's a little bit of everything. It's a lot of small details we need to get fixed.
attention details everybody feels pay playing problems staying
When we are on and when we're playing well, everybody feels that confidence. But at times we have had problems staying with it. But we do have stretches when we pay attention to the details and play well and we have that confidence.
chipping trying
We're not trying to do anything fancy. We're just chipping away.
celebrate glad guys smile swedish talk
There's been so much talk about the old guys of Swedish hockey. I'm glad to see Mats with that big smile on his face. He hasn't had many opportunities to celebrate like this.
