far hard head jack room wants weight whatever
I told him to keep his head up, to get in the weight room and do whatever he could do. Once you get that far down, it's hard to come out of it. Jack wants to do so well. To see what he went through was difficult.
harder needed normal seen strongest work
What he needed to do was to work harder than the normal person just to get back to where he needed to be. This is probably the strongest I've ever seen him.
baseball excited fans greatest received season support tremendous
We've received tremendous support from some of the greatest fans in baseball this week. They're excited, and we're excited to get the season started.
asked
They were good. They were funny. But I asked if I could have one and they told me, no.

A game like this has to give a young team like ours confidence,
game name runs scoring
The name of the game is scoring runs and right now we are not doing it.
fresh past trying

feels field last morning spring three training
This is going to be the first Spring Training in two or three years where I didn't have to be the first one at the field every morning and the last one here. It feels good. I can just go out and play.
great jim tracy tremendous
This is going to be great for Pittsburgh. Jim Tracy has had a lot of success, and he's done it with young guys. For us to get all that experience, it's a tremendous boost, I think.
people rusty seeing spread starting
People are still rusty at the plate, but I think you're seeing it spread through our lineup already. We know Jim's stressing it, and we're starting to make it happen.
I didn't want the break. I want to play as much as possible.
dad dropped gave
My dad dropped me off here yesterday, ... It gave me the chills.
game guessing pitch throw
It's his stuff. He doesn't throw any pitch twice. It's kind of like a guessing game out there. I know I was guessing wrong.
coming definitely everyday hopefully role team
I know my role on the team is coming off the bench, but I can definitely see myself as an everyday player. Hopefully that will come in the future, but I know my role.
