I've known Phil a long time and I respect his game. He has a family now, so I don't hang around with him much any more. But when we play, it's a nice time.
In my opinion, for Phil it was reckless abandon. I don't think he played crazy golf. But when your eye sees a shot and you hit it, it's a lot of fun. When you don't hit it, you've made a mistake. He may have lost a few tournaments by doing that, but he has won a few by doing it, too. It's just when you try to do it in a major, it can backfire pretty quickly.
If Phil was putting for me, he'd have won at 9 or 10 under.
He's an incredible player. He's got more talent than maybe anyone out here in his hands and his game. Phil can overpower a golf course like Tiger can. He drove it really, really well today.
Today it would be Phil because he just won on one of the hardest courses you can play. But Tiger's the one to beat every week. They're going to win this thing several more times, those two.
Fourteen made the difference for me. But really, the way Phil played, it wouldn't have made any difference.
The 14th hole was really a killer, but there were several other putts -- I just couldn't get one to go. I think if Phil was putting for me, I would have won with 9- or 10-under.
In better ball? That's best ball? That's when you use his seven or eight birdies every round? That's pretty surprising. But again, I've watched a lot of it, and I think he's ready to change all that.
It was huge. I enjoy playing with him, so I chose to play with him if I could get it done.
It was great to see it go in. It was huge.
These two guys, they're going to win this thing several more times.
I'm going to play a lot next year. I'm definitely going to try to make that team. I knew I had to play well this week, and I played OK. ... The last three rounds I played pretty well.
I'm not going to not be disappointed if I don't play well. I expect myself to do well, but I'm not like, 'Oh, well.' I'm not in that category just yet.
I'm disappointed, but I like the way I played and it was a lot of fun.
