Frank Mitchell Beameris a retired American college football coach, most notably for the Virginia Tech Hokies, and former college football player. Beamer was a cornerback for Virginia Tech from 1966 to 1968. His coaching experience began in 1972, and from 1981 to 1986 Beamer served as the head football coach at Murray State University. Every team is different, some teams fit better than others. I think the leadership on this team has been very good, pointing everybody in the same direction. They respect each other.

I've seen those knee braces save a bunch of knees. There's no question in my mind that Reggie Butler would be operated on right now if he hadn't had that knee brace on. It was a tough blow right to the knee, but the brace didn't allow the knee to bend to where something would be completely torn.

I've really been pleased with Nic Schmitt. He's kicking in a good rhythm, kicking the ball quickly. He's getting great distance and hang time.

The stats aren't very good, but I thought the way our quarterbacks played, you feel good because each of those three made some really good plays.
