kicked step
We didn't have the step they did. They kicked our butts every which way.
ability depends flow guys natural step time
Sometimes it's natural to take a step back a bit. It just depends on the flow of the game. But the one thing he does -- and a lot of our other guys do -- when it comes time to clamp down, he has the ability to do that.
mentally normally physically quickly react step
That wasn't our night. Just physically a step slow, and mentally we just didn't react as quickly as we normally do. Just not as sharp.
bad chance defensive game mentally minute played step win
We were mentally a step slow. We had some defensive breakdowns, we played out of character. But as bad as we played, we still had a chance to win the game with a minute to go.
check id number paycheck step
I think the number one thing with young players, you got to get them to play hard. When you step on the court, they don't check your paycheck to see how much you make, and they don't check your ID to see how old you are.
amaze ceases challenged game heads stepped team
We didn't have our heads in the game in the first half. But this team never ceases to amaze me. They were challenged and they stepped up.
few step weeks
This is step one, but we don't want to be at step 10 right now anyway. We have a few weeks yet before we want to be at step 10.
extremely great guys high johnson playing reasons stepped
He's playing great right now. I said one of the reasons they're playing so well right now is because of the play of Johnson and the play of (Danny) Granger. Those two guys have stepped up and they're playing at an extremely high level.
accomplish game guys nice step win
You want to try to win every game you step out, but I think it would be nice to try to accomplish something like that at home. It's one of these situations, when we go in, all 12 guys got to play well because all 12 guys are going to have opportunities.
ability available basket both bring creating effective good instant knew offense scoring tony
Tony is in a good rhythm. We knew when he was available what he could bring to the team, and we knew he had the ability to score. I don't think everyone knew he could be effective at both perimeter scoring and going to the basket and creating for other people. Right now, he's kind of our instant offense off the bench.
calm lost playing starters thrown
We lost focus. When you have two starters thrown out in a three-minute span, I wouldn't say you're playing calm at that time.
energy passion picked played seemed terrible
We had terrible energy and terrible passion in the first half. We just seemed very much disinterested, and then we really picked it up and played with more energy.
follow four guys played talk touch unique
We try to talk a little bit, keep in touch every now and then, follow each other's career. It's a unique situation. You have two guys who played with each other, went four years together.
start
We got pretty much what we wanted offensively. Defensively, we were like vultures to start games.
