This feels a lot different than the last two years. We were in control. We had our chances to pull ahead, especially in the first half. Unfortunately, we didn't do that.

Before, it was more of an individual deal. Sometimes we'd get beat and other guys wouldn't be there to help out. This year, everyone is watching out for each other.

Every possession was gold. It seems like every time we play Southern, it comes down to the end.

We love people knowing who Northern Iowa is. It's a great accomplishment for us as seniors and for the coaching staff. To say we'd rather be unknown, I don't think we would.

We've been around long enough to know that defense gives you a shot to win any game. We've done a pretty good job of almost demanding it from everyone else this year.
emotional night special
It's going to be a special night in the Dome. It's going to be an emotional night, but special for us seniors.

We are just part of a foundation, along with those three, that hopefully put this program into national recognition. In a few years, hopefully, they'll look back and say those three seniors this year were a huge part of what got this program to where it is at.
