coming good hitting leading nervous shots
I was kind of nervous over there because I was leading 5-up through 11, and then he was coming back at me. I was not hitting very good shots on those holes.

almost change feet hole huge past putt somehow
It was almost 15 feet past the hole with a big, big break. And I managed somehow to hole that putt - which was a huge one - so it was a big, big change in the match.
feels golf great means win
It feels great. It really means a lot, especially to win it here (at Merion). This is such a great golf course.
british fun good next open playing pro turn year
I think I will have a lot of fun next year playing all of these very good tournaments and then I'll probably turn pro after the British Open next year.
amateur guess obviously
Obviously I made the right decision. I guess I'll be an amateur for a little while longer.
behind eight finally holes lead nine playing took turning
Seven, eight and nine was the big turning point. I finally took the lead after being behind for 25 holes and was really playing well.
happy means realize win won
It means a lot to me. I still have to realize it completely. I'm really, really happy to have this win and to have won it here, especially.
best circumstance far maybe round
It was by far my best round this summer, maybe ever under the circumstances. I really made some long putts.
almost both masters mean nervous open points shaking today
We were both nervous today and it was tough. I was almost shaking at some points because The Masters and the U.S. Open mean so much.
calm eight finally match nine point possible stay trailing tried turning week
I think a very big turning point was seven, eight and nine because after the seventh, I finally was 1-up in the match and I had been trailing all match long. I just tried to stay as calm as possible all week long.
amazing beat experience golf lucky win year
I was lucky to win the U.S. Amateur, and especially on the year I would play with Tiger. It was really cool, and he was so nice. The most amazing experience I've ever had on a golf course. It beat my expectations by far.
cut good happened match turned
I was just here to make the cut and see what happened in match play. It turned out very good in the end.
coming good kindness mad otherwise standing tee
I was kind of mad at myself at 17 because I was 5 up after 11 and now he was coming back at me. I just told myself to make a good swing, otherwise it's going to be even tighter. I didn't think standing on the 12th tee that I'd be standing on the 17th tee.
