brought credit gave goes good hit ourselves playing points second shot tough
After playing a good first half, we gave up 61 points in the second half. We gave ourselves a chance, and they hit a tough shot at the end. The credit goes to them. They really brought it to us in the second half.
bad chance expect gave ourselves paint played points second though tough win
This is a tough one to lose. We gave ourselves a chance to win even though we played bad in the second half, you just can't give up 60 points in the paint and expect to win.
bit changing composure energy game hands lost momentum point shots
They made shots with hands in their face. They got the energy going. There was a point in the game when the momentum was changing and we lost our composure just a little bit and that's all it takes.
fourth held last locked minutes points seven
That last seven minutes we locked down defensively. We held them to 13 points in the fourth quarter.
decision felt point
It got to a point where he felt it was intolerable. We made a decision to give it some rest.
low point
That was our low point of the season.
advantage coaches consistent deal floor found isolation middle took
Indiana's coaches took advantage of mismatches and found things that we couldn't deal with on a consistent basis. They used the pick-and-roll in the middle of the floor and the isolation off the logo with Jackson.
ask defender develop good guards kinds liked looking player saw
I liked what I saw from Donell, ... He's versatile, he's a very good defender and he can do a lot of the things we ask our guards to do. You're always looking to develop a young player with those kinds of skills.
conference credit deserving eastern entire excited grateful helped phenomenal playoff proud recognized represent throughout true
I'm proud to have Gilbert represent us at the All-Star Game. Gilbert has been phenomenal for us throughout the season, and his play has helped put us in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. He is very deserving of this honor, and I think it's a credit to our entire team. We're all very excited and grateful that commissioner Stern recognized Gilbert as one of basketball's true stars.
almost glad proud road tough trip
I'm proud of the way we played, and I'm glad to be going back home. This was a tough trip and really it's not over. It's almost like this is a 10-game road trip.
change hate improve
It's something that we've thought about, and I hate to make change just for change sake. I think it's going to be a change to improve our team, improve where we're going.
cannot contain draw either five four guy kick knock luxury man men nba score step trouble type
It's such a luxury in the NBA to have a four man or five man who can step out and make those long shots, ... If you cannot contain the ball, which we've had some trouble with, those type of big men are going to step up and either score on dunks or they are going to draw and kick to another big guy who can knock down that shot.
bit production rebounds steals three whether
The Big Three got a little bit fatigued. We've got to get some more production off the bench, whether it's rebounds or steals or stops.
adversity against calls competing continued deal defense distracted good learn missed paint physical plague played poor second
They just outplayed us in the second half. They were more physical than us in the paint and the same things continued to plague us - poor third-quarter performance, not competing in the paint, and being distracted by what's going on at the other end of the court. We have to learn to deal with adversity and not be distracted by missed calls or good defense being played against us.
