Preseason or not, a win is a win. When you lose, it's like getting the air knocked out of you. Our goals are a lot higher than the Western Conference finals. There is not a guy on this team that doesn't believe we can do that.

We didn't match their effort but being the team we are, we turned it up in the second half. This was a must-win because it was a game we should win. We've got to get tuned in from the beginning because we can't afford to do that when May comes around because they'll send you home packing.

Bernie called me to his office and told me they were making a trade for Kareem. At that point, I didn't want to sit on the bench for an expansion team. It ended up working out.

I was struggling the last three games, but I think our defense got us going. When we were down by 14, I think everybody stepped up.
