Yes, it's true - I love the roar of the crowd. When the fans are with you, their voices come together in a big booming rush of sound that you can actually feel in your body - almost like a wave that lifts you and carries you past your own limits.
We go through life so fast and we never really get to enjoy moments. It seems like they go past us...Tonight I just wanted to take a minute, a moment and soak it in and be a kid from Robbins Illinois and be a kid from Marquette University.
We live in the moment. We're not thinking about the future right now. We're not thinking about the past, you know. We're living in this moment right here and it's a sweet moment to live in.
I knew it wasn't my night. Coach told me a halftime to keep going. It was just getting into a rhythm.
I know Alonzo was saying that on the bench over and over and over.
I kind of knew I would try to come back. I didn't know how effective I would be because I couldn't feel parts of my leg.
I'm just trying to do what I can to help this team. We'll get back into it. Other guys will get back into the flow. It's a bump in the road.
I'm just trying to do what I can to help this team.
Everybody was calling. I think everybody called every player in the league. That's history right there.
That is what I am battling right now so I am trying to do everything I can to be ready to go for our next game, so I am battling right now.
They just played with more energy than we did. Our team was not as focused on defense as it should be. In the first two games we sent them into our big guys. Today, with Shaq in foul trouble, it was a different story.
They've got the curse on us that we've got on Washington right now.
There's times where I felt we've been there. After winning those four in a row you feel like you can run off some, then one or two things happen.
Not only am I confident in that situation, but Shaq has given me that go-ahead to say the fourth quarter is (my) time. When you get that, I don't worry about making a mistake. When I drive and his man comes, then I throw the ball to the rim. As long as I continue to do that, he'll continue to be happy.
