I'm always telling my kids to be themselves and let their personalities show in other ways than with their mouths.
My priority as a father should always remain first. My kids look to me as their example. Every decision I make and everything that I do always has to come back to the question, "Does this make me a better father?" "Will my kids benefit from this?" My perspective in life has changed. It's no longer just about me...but about my kids.
I always remind my kids that hard work pays off. They see that I take nothing for granted in life. It helps them stay grounded.
My kids motivate me to keep moving forward. My kids are my everything.
I always remind my kids that hard work pays off. That's how I got to where I am right now because of sacrifice and the work I put into it.
I think you really have to become a parent to understand what you will endure to be there for your kids.
I'm the kind of parent who asks my kids questions like, 'What would be your ideal thing to do in the summer?'
I think people have had the understanding for many years that whatever happens with the separation of parents, that the kids automatically go to the mother. The fathers don't know their rights.
I think the main thing for kids is to have them believe in themselves.
We go through life so fast and we never really get to enjoy moments. It seems like they go past us...Tonight I just wanted to take a minute, a moment and soak it in and be a kid from Robbins Illinois and be a kid from Marquette University.
I'm just a kid in a candy store right now, trying to have fun. I'm getting a chance to show my ability and my talent.
My life changed in a huge way. Mentally, I've been preparing for it for over a year now. To me, it's bigger than that. For me, it shows a lot of people that you need to fight to be in your kids' lives sometimes. You fight until you can't fight any more. That's all I was trying to be, a father in his kids' lives.
Always be involved in your children's lives. Life gets hectic but we have to find a way to always stay connected and let our kids know that they are loved.
When you have kids, they are the consistent things in your life. They don't change no matter what's going on. They love you. They are more honest than anybody will be.
