One of the worst fears that a coach has is to take a kid away from their family and not be able to bring them home. When an accident happens and a student loses their life, it's tough on the whole community.

When you lose players and students at a school, it's devastating on campus and in the community. As a coach, your role is to comfort the team when something like that happens, but at the same time you are feeling it too.
finally fourth night quarter stopped
We finally got their penetration stopped. They were penetrating on us all night long and that was where they were scoring. We finally were able to get that stopped in the fourth quarter and that was the difference.

This was a tough loss for our team. I was very proud of the way the guys conducted themselves in this game. The game was over before it was over, and they showed a lot of class and they continued to play and fight until the end.

We were not expecting the guards to shoot as well as they did. We focused more on our inside game because of their two big players but it was definitely the guards that made the difference.

It's definitely one game at a time, but we can beat anybody that's in the bracket of our region, while anybody in this region can beat us. It's a very even region right now. Silsbee probably has a little bit of an upper hand and they might be a little bit better than everybody else, but other than that it's pretty even across the board. Anybody can win on any given night.

Everyone is doing their part this season on both ends of the court. You can play the best defense, but you also have to score to win the games as well.

I thought we shot the ball really well. Our defense was probably the worse it has been in the entire playoffs, but you have to give a lot of that credit to Madisonville. They've got a good player in Brad Taylor.

I thought the keys were our energy and intensity. Our execution was the best it has been all year. I thought we played our best game of the season.

I think we'll be ready. The kids are fired up. We've got three tough ones out of the way, and it's going to be tough again (today).

Our kids just had that strong will to win, and we stopped making mistakes and started to hit some shots at the right time and the ball bounced our way.

The guys are excited about being in the tournament, and we are ready to play. We have worked hard all season to get to this point, and we don't want to stop here.
