Don Luciais the head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team. He has twice led the Golden Gophers to the NCAA National Championship title, in 2002 and 2003. Under Lucia, the Golden Gophers have won four MacNaughton Cups, the Broadmoor Trophy three times, and the Big Ten regular season championship in each of that league's first three seasons. division good last lower position rest schedule teams weekend
I still think they're in such good position when you look at the schedule the rest of the year. After our weekend, they play just teams that are in the lower division the rest of the way. And I still think last weekend is more of an aberration than anything else.

The reality of the game was what happened last night. Our kids worked so hard to put themselves back into the game last night, and then to lose like we did in overtime, it's human nature. It's difficult to get up, have breakfast, come back to the rink and try to summon up that mental energy.

When he has the puck, he doesn't slow down. It's like in football, when they talk about 40 (yard) speed and game speed. Some great running backs seem quicker when they have the ball, and that's Phil with the puck on his stick.

We didn't play poorly. In fact, we competed real hard but Holy Cross was pretty good. They have a good goalie, good special teams and their top two lines are very skilled.

We got off to that big start, creating traffic and going to the net, and that's what you have to do against a great goaltender.
