We're going to be able to run the ball better than people think we are because of that O-line and the tight ends. Still, the bottom line is you've got to score points and win.
Angelo wants everyone to know that he intends to keep fighting to get back on his feet. He faces a long and difficult road back to good health, but he is a great competitor, as was witnessed at the rehabilitation center.
Sam's going to tear it up. I'm telling you right now, Sam Keller is going to play well.
Everybody had their doubts if Rudy was ever going to be able to play, and he's been awesome in this whole camp. I love the way that guy's worked. He's improved everything we asked him to. I hope nothing happens to Sam, but you've got to have more than one guy.
We had to try to create some plays. Even after that, we got the lead back and it still came down to a fourth-and-10 play.
It doesn't make any sense to have them down at the hotel.
My job is to make sure we get as few of guys hurt in the long term. We take some precautions on guys...we're still getting quality reps.
It's the culmination of many months of chasing these guys around, meeting with families, and selling. We're fired up.
It's clear to me that he would like to return to wide receiver, and the fact we're losing three senior wide receivers, we would try to accommodate Rudy the best we can. He did what we asked him to do this year. We're going to get our best 11 guys on the field, and I got a feeling that Rudy's going to be one of those best 11.
It says he's a better athlete than anybody in this circle, including me. We've had other great athletes, but Rudy is truly a great all-around athlete.
We've reviewed that film. We stunk it up last year.
Through 14 practices, he's probably the MVP of the offense right now. He's a guy we've been waiting on, and he's finally there.
Our perspective is based on what we see on TV in New Orleans. That's a tragedy. Our mindset is: How are we supposed to go play a football game there? We've been told that life is not normal in Baton Rouge. But I don't really know what that means. Sure, there's some doubt. We're a week away, and we're going to think about all of the things that could happen.
There's a 10-point turnaround right there. If you go back all the way to the first extra point of the game where we went up 7-0, we were having penetration all night on the right side of our line.
