last punish running runs year
He runs with an attitude. He's running to punish the tacklers. He's better right now than last year by far.
build cut cutting everybody few good job line offense offensive problem reaching running scheme shove underneath zone
The big problem with them is their offensive line and their zone scheme. They do an awfully good job with it. Everybody has a few zone scheme running plays. We do. But they build their offense on that. They get you stretched, reaching out, and then they shove you out and cut right back underneath you. They do a good job of cutting the linebackers off.
bring corners defensive include packages people running stopping stuff
I think we'll be better at stopping stuff like that. We'll have better recognition on the part of our defensive line. Our other packages include some things that bring people off the corners and sometimes make you leery of running quarterback (bootlegs).

far game humming normally patient persistent running tough
Their running game can be tough to stop. So far they haven't been humming like it normally is, and you just have to keep them in that mode. They're very patient and persistent and keep doing it.
abandon against approach balanced best came football jets mean means remain run running team
For the most part, we try to remain a balanced football team. The Jets came in here with one of the best defenses against the run. That doesn't mean we will run successfully Sunday. It means we don't abandon a running approach just because of the team we play.
adds backs field football great holmes kinds league national pressure priest running steps time
I don't want to put so much pressure on him right now as a young player. He will become one of the great running backs in the National Football League just like Priest Holmes did. You become that. But each time he steps on the field he adds credibility to those kinds of credentials.
It was the right thing for us to do. And it made me look smart.
battle field helped injury lowest pick point terrible time watched willing
I've been with him through the lowest time of his career. I've helped him come off the field with a terrible injury and I've watched him battle back to the point where you're willing to give up a first-round pick to watch him play again.
bad continue fly football game home lose talent
Conversely, when you lose a football game and you fly home and look at it, it's not as bad as you thought it was. We know we aren't there yet. But we all feel we have the talent here to continue to get better.
bothering calf develop early second took week
Early in the week (Green) had a numbness develop in his calf that went down into his toe. He could play, but after the second series, because it was bothering him, we just took him out. It comes and goes.
holding overcome personal time
Every time we got something going, we had penalties. You can overcome the five-yard penalties. But personal fouls and holding penalties?
hit throws
We had pass-protection problems, ... He was getting hit a lot, and that throws you off a little.

Believe me, if the situation comes up again, the lesson he learned from there will be to turn around and walk away.
