We came up a little bit short, but we did do a lot of good things on the court. We missed some good looks, but our kids played extremely hard. When we play hard like this, we're going to put ourselves in position to win games.

There are things that you don't see on the stat sheet. Christina did a good job on defense. She's long and got long arms. She does a good job of stopping that entry pass. She needs to be a force for us to be successful on defense.

This was a good way for our seniors to go out. They took away Megan but she wasn't worried about scoring points. She wanted to go out with a win. We took Carlson away.

We talked about that in practice the day before in preparation. We had to still attack and play our game and we didn't do that because we missed shots early. We got some good looks inside and didn't finish. We need to finish those looks inside.

They just didn't give up. We're a good basketball team at the right part of the year. We're playing as hard as we have all season. We're playing as well as we have all season. I'm very happy with the effort of our kids.

I'm really happy with our ball pressure. Pierre didn't get a lot of good looks. I'm really pleased with the rebounding. Pierre is a good rebounding team and in our last game they dominated the boards.

Our defense didn't cause a lot of turnovers in the first half. But, it caused them problems in the second half. They didn't have a lot of confidence and didn't shoot the ball very well.

The third quarter was a clinic. To hold the other team to no points, to only have two turnovers and outscore them 14-0, that's a textbook game. The defense was so good. There were several plays where we completely disrupted their offense.

Every day in practice we would tell the kids to think about the big picture. They worked hard and we had setbacks, but that's high school basketball. You take two steps forward and one back.

We emphasized doing the things we do well. You can't go away from our strengths. When Pierre took away things, we went to our next option. The kids just wanted it (win) so much.

We really settled in and started playing better defensively. Our kids just relaxed and things began to work for us.

We needed to attack offensively and we didn't do that very well. I didn't think we moved very well. We were hesitant to shoot. Our kids didn't play with a lot of confidence on the offensive end. Against Huron, you have to pressure them on both sides of the ball.
