effects feeling last lingering major middle practiced step work yesterday
I was right back to work the middle of the day Monday, in the gym, and practiced yesterday with no lingering effects from last week. And that's a major step for me, that I'm feeling better, I'm stronger.
block building full last playing year
Last year was a big building block for me, getting back to playing a full schedule.

We'll take today over the last two days, when the wind blew like crazy. Obviously we got off to a good start... and took advantage of the softer greens.

I remember playing practice rounds with him in 2000, and he'd hit these drives and you'd say, 'Wow, that is so far and so straight,' ... You never say that anymore. It was frightening playing with him then. In the last year and a half or so I'm driving it right with him.

I haven't won, but I think I made a lot of progress physically last year. I got to feeling better and better and contending more and more.

I'm digging balls out of the rough that I wasn't able to and I'm hitting drives powerfully at the end of a round like I couldn't last year. I've been remarkably calm.

We just go out and play our games and have fun. . . . I think just knowing each other real well makes it a lot easier.

We were playing for Jack. The longer you're around him, the more you realize how special it is to him.

I've watched five or six captains that have tried to play and Tom knows what is going on and what is ahead for him. He's learned that it is a lot more work than people think and he's gotten ahead of it. Whether it is picking out the clothes or organizing the structure to do the things that he wants to do, he realizes that he needs to get it done. He's ahead of that so now he can take some time and play some golf.

These courses suit a guy whose short game is very good and who is very patient with the greens and the putting. Anybody with a good attitude who hits the ball in the fairway enough, and makes some putts, can win.
cup deserves group presidents team twice win
There's a group of us that really want to make the team and to win for Jack. He deserves a Presidents Cup win after going around the world twice and not getting one.
golf swing thousand
I used to get out there and have a thousand swing thoughts. Now I try not to have any.
drive putt thinks
Everyone who comes here thinks they have a chance. You have to do everything well. You can't just drive it well. You have to putt it well ... you have to do it all.

That's what happens when you miss every fairway and every putt. You shoot a big number.
