anybody ask bounce couple fall games lose means mode satisfied seem teams winning
Just because we started 8-2, that means nothing come September. But I think if you ask anybody in here, we're pretty satisfied with how the first 10 games have gone. We've got to keep at it. The winning teams seem to never fall into that mode where you lose a couple in a row. They find a way to bounce back and that's what they need to do.
game lose rather win
It's still a game and you'd rather win it than lose it.
against braves last lost picked series stay win
We picked up the first win (of the last series against the Braves at Shea) and still lost the last two. We need to stay focused.
new-york winning boxing
I just want to taste what it's like to win in New York
thinking winning evaluate
When you don't win I think you have to evaluate everybody.
winning mvp world
I want to win a World Series. I couldn't care less about MVP.
baseball ourselves prove rest win
Now we have to prove to ourselves and the rest of baseball that we can win on the road.
games guys hits hurts obviously three win
Obviously it hurts not having our big guys out there. But we're not going to win too many games getting three hits and one run.
baby goal good hand win
I think that right now it's good to take baby steps. Obviously, the goal at hand is to win the division.
quick stay
We're going to need to find it real quick if we're going to stay in this thing.
cliff guys power
We've got Carlos Delgado, Carlos Beltran, Cliff Floyd, guys that have a lot of power.
batting great last moving people seventh ticked trusting willie
Look, I started off batting seventh last year, so to me it was great that Willie started trusting me, moving me up a little at a time. People tell me all the time, 'You should be ticked off where you're hitting.' But I'm not, not at all.
giant playoffs series since small steps
I won't say it's World Series or bust. We haven't been to the playoffs since 2000. We have to take those small steps before we take that giant leap.
everybody helping middle pitches seeing
I think everybody in our lineup is seeing better pitches. Up and down our lineup, we're helping each other out and seeing better pitches because of everybody, not just because of the middle of our order.
