setting trying
I'm just trying to keep up with him. He's the one setting the pace.
game lose rather win
It's still a game and you'd rather win it than lose it.
procedure
It?s not as complicated procedure to take them down.
experience fun happen
It's not a fun experience. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again.
base bat behind drive everybody fortunate guys hitting pitches position runners scoring wants
Everybody wants the bat in their hands, and I was fortunate to come up with guys on base and to be in a position to see a lot of pitches with the guys hitting behind me. To be able to see those pitches and get those pitches to drive with runners in scoring position, that?s big.
good harder hit hope pitch tried
It was just a good pitch that I tried to do too much with and popped up. I would hope that more times than not, I would hit that pitch a lot harder than I did tonight.
couple offensive past
This is like an offensive dream, being a part of this lineup the past couple of days.
testing though
It's not as though they can say we've done a lot of testing without the beacon.
fans field man
The fans here, obviously, are like the 10th man on the field for us.
balls eat felt hard hit hop last maintain moves playing start third year
I'm going to make errors. That comes with the territory. I felt there were times last year when I was playing not to make mistakes, not playing aggressive. At third base, you have to play aggressive. You're going to make errors. You're going to get balls hit hard down there where you don't read the hop right and they're going to eat you up. But you have to maintain your aggressiveness; you can't start back-pedaling. Most of your moves have to be going in.
career kept learned looking needed played realized terrible
I learned about adjustments in 2003. I played terrible in the first half, but I didn't let it get me down. I kept working and realized that I needed to be looking at a career not a season.
convinced
I'm just not convinced that there's a need, but it's not for me to decide.
consistent last level pleased three together toward year
I'm working toward a level of consistent production. I was pleased with last year but not satisfied. I will feel better if I can put two or three years together like it in a row.
