It's tough without any at-bats to go up there and expect to see the ball well. You're cold, you took batting practice hours ago. Not only is there a lot of pressure, but you're usually facing one of the better guys out of the bullpen, a specialist they're bringing in.

He is about as intelligent a hitter as you can get, it?s amazing how quick he makes adjustments. You see him get fooled on a pitch, he steps out, you can see him clear his mind and you can see him make that adjustment. That?s what makes him better than a majority of the guys in the big leagues. Good hitters make adjustments in between games, and he makes adjustments in between pitches.

He really feels that he is a target. All these guys (Iraqi interpreters) are incredibly nervous. It's as dicey as I've seen, and I've been coming here for more than a year now. We're trying to keep as low a profile as we can.
