confidence games guys hits hopefully hurts obviously three throwing
Obviously it hurts us not having our big guys in there. Hopefully we get them back soon. But we have a lot of confidence in the guys we're throwing out there. If we hit, we're going to win. We're not going to win too many games getting three hits and one run.
confidence eye inner leader
He just has this look in his eye that's confident. He has that inner confidence, that swagger, that trickles down. When your leader has that confidence, it makes you confident.
balls confidence confident couple early errors felt half last second start thrown work
It's a confidence thing. The second half of last year, I felt more confident and I feel more comfortable this spring. That's the big thing for me. I can work on drills and footwork all day, but if I don't feel comfortable, it's not going to matter. As a young player, especially in New York, you make a couple of errors early and you start pressing a little bit. I've got to relax. I've thrown so many balls over to first base, I can probably do it blindfolded.
battle ninth teammates
The play I botched in the ninth has to be made. It was a battle and I let my teammates down.
ask questions technical
We don't ask any technical questions of the user. It's very, very simple.
housing impact lake marie rest
We wouldn't want the housing to impact Lake Marie and the rest of the (lighthouse) park.
unique parks location
It's so unique. Wilson Park is just such a gem. It's in a convenient location.
growing-up team love-is
I love being a Met. It was my favorite team growing up, so to be a Met to me is very special.
play appreciate choices
If have the choice, to play or not play, I would rather be in there, ... But I appreciate Willie calling me in and being concerned.
school people underdog
People only rooted for the underdog in movies, not in middle school.
baseball games brilliant
The brilliant thing about baseball is you're never really out of it.The brilliant thing about baseball is you're never really out of it - things can turn around in this game so quickly.
games game-day superstitions
I do like to wear the same hat on game days, but I consider that more of a routine thing than a superstition.
girl fans female
When I first got to the majors in 2004, female fans held up signs asking me to marry them. Those girls today were what, 13, 14? I'm 23, but that's a little young even for me.
unique breathing voice
An excess of development can undermine the most ephemeral but distinctive tool a writer possesses: authorial voice. A writer's voice is as individual and marked as a thumbprint, and is a playwright's truest imprimatur. It is as innate as breathing, and can be as unique as any genetic code. By its very singular nature, it is seldom born in the act of collaboration. True authorial voice always pre-dates the first rehearsal of a text. And it is - and will always be - an author's most distinguishing and valuable feature.
