Every SEC Championship is different because the personalities of the teams are different. The competition's different. The competition in the SEC is always fabulous. Swimming in the SEC is only going to get better, but for the moment, we're very proud to be number one.

Every championship is different for us. This men's team in particular has come from everywhere and it took all year to bring this team together. The last two months I saw synergy happening within our team and you have to have that at this meet to be successful. I am very proud of how our men stepped up together and we are excited to return another NCAA title home to Auburn University.

That was thrilling, what a way to finish. That was the best last day we've ever had in Auburn swimming, especially from where we came from. We came alive this morning. We had the performances tonight, one after another, and that's what we needed. They knew how hard they worked this year and the passion that Dorsey Tierney-Walker has put into this team, and the rest of the staff, made a difference.

That's the one thing I wanted that I left out of my coaching career. I never won a state title. I was fortunate to be down there several times, but we never won it. We probably should have a couple times, but we missed out.

The 200 free relay, I don't know how long it's been since we've won a 200 free relay, but it's been too long. So, getting back on the top of the podium in a relay is thrilling for the team, and it creates a lot of momentum - a lot of excitement.

This senior class is interesting in that they are from all over the world and their personalities are so different from each other. All eight are fantastic human beings and I couldn't be more pleased with them finishing their dual meet season undefeated. I think we look good going into the championship portion of the season and are fit and prepared.

We only had one champion in 2002. And we won the meet very handily. So, you don't always have to have the best individuals. You have to have the best team.

It's going to be exciting. We not only compete against Texas in the pool, we compete against them in recruiting. This is a big meet for both teams, for the season and for the future.
